So as you can probably tell from the title of this blog post, this is something a little different from the typical ‘sports stuff’ i’ve been writing about. So I thought I should write about my current skincare favourites.
So lets start off with my favourite makeup removers…
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil
I just use half a pump of the cleansing oil and thats enough for my whole face. I put the product on the palm of my hands and rub them together and apply to my face like a face wash. I then wash my face with water to get all the impurities and the makeup off. I love this product because its so gentle and so easy to use.
Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover
I apply the Eye Makeup Remover to a cotton pad and put the cotton pad infused with the remover on my eyelids and my lashes. I love this product because it doesn’t make my lashes fall out when I’m taking the mascara off and its not harsh on the delicate skin around the eyes.
Garnier Micellar Water
This Micellar Water is a great dupe for the Bioderma Micellar Water, its so easy to use and is so effective at taking all the makeup off. I just put the product on a cotton pad and just wipe all my face makeup off.
I either use the Kiehl’s cleansing oil on its own or the two garnier products together, it just depends on the amount of makeup I have on and personal preference really.
Next, my favourite toner…
Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol Free Toner
I love love love this! Its so soothing for the skin and it feels great to apply this after I’ve taken all my makeup off in the evening. I just apply a bit to a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face.
Now when it comes to moisturisers and eye creams, this varies according to whether its my morning routine or my evening routine…
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
I just get a bit of the product on my ring finger and apply it to my eyelids and the under-eye area. The creamy consistency makes the skin so soft which I find benefits makeup application.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
Just like any other moisturiser I just get a bit of the face cream and apply it all to my face. This cream is amazing if you have dry/sensitive skin, it really soothes the skin.
-Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
This is probably one of the most talked about skincare products on the internet and is so worth the hype! The recovery concentrate leaves your skin feeling great when you wake up. I apply 3 drops to the palm of my hands, rub them together and just gently pat it on my face.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream
Just like the Creamy Eye Treatment, I put the Midnight Recovery Eye Cream on my ring finger and just gently pat it on the delicate skin around the eyes. I find this helps a lot in the morning because I’m not waking up with dark circles or huge bags under my eyes.
Recently I’ve been using an Eyelash Serum from No.7 and it really does work! My lashes have grown so long in the space of 1 month.
No.7 Fanomenal Lash Serum
I apply a bit of the product on my upper and lower lash-line in the evening after I’ve applied the Midnight Recovery Eye Cream.
I have 2 favourite face masks also from Kiehl’s (no surprise really)
Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque
Good for fatigued skin, the cranberry seeds exfoliate the skin. Leaving your face feeling brighter and looking more illuminated.
Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque
The ingredients in this mask help eliminate surface toxins and its a deep cleansing face mask which makes your pores appear smaller.
I can’t forget to mention a few Lush Face Masks, that are amazing too!
-Lush BB Seaweed: Good for sensitive skin
-Lush Cupcake: Good for Blemish prone- ‘teenage skin’
Each of the face masks have different benefits, it really depends on what skin concerns you have. However, I apply them all the same, I put whichever face mask on my face for 10 minutes and wash it off using a facial cloth.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, it’s something different from my usual writing and I guess more beneficial for a few of you looking for tips/tricks when it comes to skincare. Feel free to message me with recommendations of your own!
